Client account access: comparing authorization models

Compare client account authorization models, revocation handling and ownership before scoping an integration project.

Workflows, code, accounts and report examples are illustrative. Example numbers and responses are illustrative data, not client results or measurements. Integration scope requires project validation.

A multi-client account project needs both an access model and explicit ownership of accounts, apps, credentials and audit records. Compare actual permissions and exit paths rather than judging a whole design by an OAuth or QR label.

Platform-approved authorization

Where available, inspect the official flow, approved app purpose and granted scopes. Establish consent, revocation, reauthorization and eligibility. Using OAuth does not automatically grant every business operation.

Third-party custody needs evidence

Verify permission for the intended operation, credential issuer, data recipients and shutdown on exit. A QR interaction does not prove an approved purpose. Require verifiable isolation and audit design rather than account passwords.

Do not substitute login simulation

Do not replace platform permission with collected passwords, copied sessions or simulated devices. Retain manual steps or reduce scope where access is unavailable. Separate staff permissions from platform grants so departure handling stops the right jobs.

Test revocation, expiry and migration

Test cross-client access, expired grants, pending jobs after revocation, delayed callbacks and reauthorization. Agree retention, reminders and deletion for the business need. Deliver ownership records, permission matrices, exception evidence and migration responsibilities.

Next step: prepare a reviewable brief

Use the development service scope to identify modules. See the related assessment for the connected decision. Prepare target platforms, account ownership, existing software, redacted samples and acceptance needs. Review cost factors and contact Nara to discuss feasible scope.
